Railfan's Guide(d) Tours

Travel in comfort as the passenger for your railfanning adventure. Our team are expertly skilled and professionally trained drivers with years of experience chasing trains. We seek to maximising your enjoyment while ensuring safety is always the number one priority. We offer door to door pickup for all our tours and can accommodate three people per tour, so why not bring your mates and see some trains.

We provide all you need to feel like you're part of the railfanning crew, including maps and timetables. Learn from an expert as they share years of knowledge and tips with you, based on that time that one got away...(just don't ask, it still hurts)

Don't have a decent camera but want that epic shot, no worries. As part of your tour we can offer camera equipment for your use throughout the tour. Your guide will be on hand to provide pointers and tips to make sure you make the most of the great locations and we'll send you your catches in the week after. We can also offer editing services to prepare a professional video through our post production partner Rail Town Productions. 

Our tours are operated in locations where your selected tour guide has chased trains for years, if not decades. They've seen the rain, the hail and the shine and remember the days before that tree decided to grow (we respect and value our natural environment, so chainsaws are not included in your tour, unfortunately). 

Your tour vehicle will come fully equipped with ice cold drinks and a range of snacks to keep you operating at your peak. We also provide a range of supplies including sunscreen, insect repellent and cleaning products for your comfort. We will work closely with you to ensure dedicated meal and comfort stops are provided, including ensuring we show you some of the best places to eat and drink in regional Queensland. After all, chasing trains is thirsty work! (and remember your tour guide is the designated driver).
